Although my work takes a significant amount of planning, once I set the parameters, l work quite intuitively, allowing the process to take each piece to completion, accentuating any visually pleasing distress or flaw in the surface of the material.
Always, I move in homage to time. Time, capable of creating by weathering an old piece of steel, copper, or wood, or the face of an old stone sculpture; time, burnt into our memories, spent, yet forever.
All works on this page are photo-frescos. Dimensions are either 8 ft x 4 ft or 4 feet squared, and consist of the plaster slab, framed in rough cedar and accented with brass inlays.
